HAPPY new year Korea!!!!

Starting this Sunday,
Koreans will be busy
finding their way to
their hometowns for
the KOREAN New Year
which is based on the
Lunar Calendar......

Although there is a bit of a twist,
coz it's more of a new year fused
with all-Souls day celebration.
This is the time when they also
honor their
dead ancestors.
T's also the day when
rice cakes galore.

Also called "Seol(설)" or "Gujeong(구정)". The first day of the lunar Korean calendar. It is the most important of the traditional Korean holidays, and is considered a more important holiday than the solar New Year's Day.
