WIKIPEDIA takes Manila

Wikipedia Takes Manila is a photo scavenger hunt organized by Wikimedia Philippines, the local chapter of Wikipedia Foundation. The event is aimed at increasing the coverage of free photographs involving the City of Manila so that they can be used in Wikipedia articles which need pictures, as well as promoting awareness of Wikipedia in Manila. 

This event will the first of its kind in the Philippines and Southeast Asia, is being held as part of Wikipedia X, a series of events being held throughout the world in commemoration of Wikipedia's tenth anniversary. For Filipino Wikipedians  resident in Metro Manila, this also serves as the Twelfth Filipino Wikipedians' Meetup in Metro Manila.

Wikipedia Takes Manila will be on WIKIPEDIA DAY, January 15, 2011. I will be joining the photo scavenger hunt with 2 other team mates ---Azrael and Jonel Uy.

The event will startt 9:00 am in Paco Park. The awards ceremony for participants and party for guests will follow  at Shakey's Pizza Ermita.
