Few people ever notice Zambales Mountain Range. Maybe becuase it's not as popular as that of the Cordilleras but this mountain system which separates the Luzon's Central Plain and the South China Sea and extends as far south as Bataan and North to my province Pangasinan is home to some of the most breathtaking places in the country.
With it's southern tip interacting with the mighty tides of South China Sea, expect cliffs formed as testament to the lands persistence amidst the constant battering of the waves, valleys formed by river channels and coves adorned by white sandy beaches.
It is here in Southern Zambales where two famous coves are located, Nagsasa and Anawangin and I'd like to show you the view you get while riding the pump boat to these splendid places.
When you go here, be sure to coordinate with a boatman as the waves could really get big depending on the time of the day. It was kinda rough during our visit but the constant splash of water and the bangka dancing in the waves occasionally gave a season sea traveler like me some shivers every now and then.
So if you are the type who is not accustomed to taking the boat, be sure to fix your eyes on the mountains and cliffs along the way. The beautiful view would certainly calm your senses
Like happiness, paradise could sometimes be found in most unlikely places. Like human beings who become stronger through trials and beautiful through adversity, the Zambales mountain range in the Southern tip of the Province of Zambales is a testament of this great irony of life.
And those who are brave deserve such beauty. The coves of Anawangin and Nagsasa.......as my eyes and lens saw it coming up next.
