There's nothing very fancy in this house, the architecture and even the furniture inside pale in comparison to other Heritage Houses in Taal Batangas. But with it is a rich history. No less than the 'Mother of the Philippine Flag' lived here ----MARCELA AGONCILLO.
This landed Marcela Agoncillo heritage house among the list of Historical Landmarks recognized by the National Historical Institute.
There's a guide who will tour you around the house and share interesting information of the house. If you are on a group tour, you can request for a weaver to do live demo of weaving.Be ready to pay 600 pesos per group though for the demo.No entrance fee is required but feel free to donate. There is a donation box near the staircase where you can also sign your name in the guestbook.
As I said earlier, there's nothing too fancy about the furniture and stuff so there's nothing much to see.By this time during our tour,I was to start having heritage-house-and-info-overload.But if there is one thing,I have high respect for this house and how this place nurtured the person who had a very big impact on the history of our country.
