ELLIS ECOTEL Embarcadero de Legazpi

I have been using the word 'classy' a lot,especially in our Legazpi trip.Yes,I loooove classy accommodations---especially if they are affordable.ELLIS ECOTEL located at the 3rd floor of Embarcadero de Legazpi is one example.

In our first night in Legazpi,we stayed at The Oriental.That hotel of course is one of the most sought accommodations in the city.It sets a very high standard when it comes to luxury so I was hoping Ellis Hotel would not disappoint.Ang hirap kung subrang glam ng unang pinag-stayhan nyo tas biglang pangit ayt?I was relieved therefore when we tried Ellis,it met my expectation.Actually,it went beyond my expectation.

Many bloggers have tried the place and some of my twitter friends recommended it when I was tweeting asking where to stay in Legazpi City.I booked via Agoda and I got a good deal.I got our room for only 1,200php a night.Good deal!

Here was our room. (sorry for the clutter :)

 

 

Quite compact but clean and classy.You wouldn't feel that you are in a budget accommodation at all.The bed is soft,the shower works perfect and the interior has this comfy feel.No wonder this place is famous for backpackers and for those who are after budget accommodations in Legazpi City.

Three of our friends stayed in another room.Ellis Hotel actually was where they stayed the whole time we were in Legazpi City so we joined them on the 2nd night.I was also the one who booked for their room.Lucky them coz at the same rate of 1,200php, their room was upgraded into a bigger one.The room also has a window view ---the sea and Mayon volcano.Nice!

And what more can you ask for.The location is perfect.Since it's at Embarcadero,you are sure to be at the center of it all.Public transportation is easy as jeepneys pass through the main entrance area of Embarcadero.Other establishments are also walking distance away.If you feel like being lazy wandering around,there are shops and good restaurants at the ground floor.Gerry's Grill,Mercury Drug,Mang Inasal and yes,even Bigg's Diner.Embarcadero is also home to play stations for kids,and still at the ground floor,there's a section for pasalubong and an area for a couple of bars where you can drown in beer after a long day of adventure.

And there is a zipline too!We haven't tried it though coz it was mostly rainy during our stay.We didn't notice anybody trying it either so we didn't bother to give it a go.Maybe next time when the weather is good.
