One good thing about Legazpi City is that the airport is in the city itself.Lignon Hill is even farther.A tricycle ride to there would only take 20minutes.Knowing that Pacific Mall is along the way,I instructed the tricycle driver to make a quick stop at the mall.I went in to take out one of the things one should not miss experiencing when in Legazpi City ---SILI ICE CREAM!
At 78pesos for three small scoops,this ice cream flavor is kinda pricey but worth trying.Where is can one find Sili Ice Cream than here.At the ground floor of Pacific Mall in particular in a store called 1st COLONIAL GRILL.Since we were in a hurry,I asked the waiter to put it in a standard presentation,took a photo of it,then had it transferred to a cup for take out.My wife and I were feasting at the Sili Ice cream while the tricycle hurried to the airport.We both agree that this ice cream flavor is indeed worth the price and the publicity.
I am personally impressed at how they were able to nail the flavor, delicious ice cream with right amount of sili kick.You can feel it teasing your throat but not to the point of hurting.Sarap.Addictive.I wasn't sure if I would like it at first but I did.Come on,sili ice cream? Yes there is!And it sure is a winner! Must try.

a reason for me to go back to Legaspi! Di ko to natikman dahil walang makapagturo sa akin kung saan ito nabibili at akala ko ino-offer ito sa lahat ng restaurant sa Legaspi... :(
ReplyDeleteThis Colonial Grill is located at Sagpon Daraga, Albay in-front of UI high school campus(United Institute)..We used to go here once or twice a week...napakasarap talaga ng sili Ice cream nila.. even Kris A went here just to taste the stuff.
