PS: This post is for those who made last minute decision to attend Masskara 2013.
at sa mga hanggang ngayon ay undecided at kailangan pa ng kaunti push. Toinks!
We are nearing the end of rainy season again and the entry of ber-months means the start of festivals in the Visayas with Masskara Festival being one them.It was my first time ever to join the festivities last year and it was really fun.
Whilst it is impossible for me to join the festival this year, I am posting the schedule here just in case you planning to fly to the "city of smiles" for Masskara 2013.
Festivities start as early as the 1st day of October and the highlights will be on the 3rd week. Oct.18-20 are the one's you should mark on your Calendar.

Like any other Festival, Masskara is true to its name ----colorful, gay, exciting. The flood of people from all over the Philippines and recently, from other countries could entail certain challenges in getting there and where to stay.It pays to have a little research.
If you haven't had your 1st Festival ever, Masskara could be a good introduction.Be warned though, like in my case, it could spark your love for Festivals. And once it's in your system, you will keep craving for it.
Enjoy Masskara 2013!!!

So if you are looking for the best place to eat this classic Ilonggo favorite, don't fail to drop by Manokan Country located along Father M. Ferrero Street (near SM City Bacolod). **Book hotel rooms in advance as every accommodation from the biggest hotels to the smallest inn is sure to be jam-packed. If you are up for an adventure, stay an extra day or two and go see nearby tourist spots including Guimaras, Mambukal, Mt. Kanlaon, Iloilo, or the stunning beaches in Southern Negros.
***Wear light clothing. You may bring an umbrella or a hat so you are prepared in case it rains on your parade. A touch of sun block would also be a very good idea.
