The original plan was, to bring as few clothes as possible and shop for cheap ones in China. We all know China goods, tons of them flooding Southeast Asian markets including the Philippines. Well, I was surprised that the cheap clothes I was expecting to be readily available at every corner is nowhere to be found! Panic mode. Excited pamandin akong mamili ng cheap shirts and sando.^^

THE WALKING TOUR
People's Park is only one station away from Najing Road but we went out the wrong exit so we had to walk around to get to the park where Hong Kong Shopping Center is located. Twas quite a walk passing through some popular attractions like the Shanghai Grand Theater which was in final finishing touches as well as Shanghai Museum and People's Square.
We flew in Shanghai via
AirAsia Zest which flies daily to Pudong International Airport.

Started Fresh at East Nanjing Road where we took the subway to People's Park.
Nanjing Road is the first commercial road in Shanghai. It is always full of people who either shop at some of the trendiest and expensive stores or those who simply people watch and have their photos taken. It is perhaps the most famous street in Shanghai.

HONG KONG SHOPPING CENTER Finally!
Ang hirap hanapin ng lugar na to!
Hong Kong Famous Shops Street is located in Renmin Road and is considered the first underground shopping street. Young people flock to the place for unique and trendy fashions items mostly clothing. That said, you can a lot of fashionable people who either go around the shops or are simply idling in the open air surrounded by food stalls.
How To Get Here:
Metro Line 1 or 2
Get off People's Park Station

Unfortunately, it was not the place I imagined it to be. Sure is hip, classy and it has all the fashionable items I was routing for except that I was looking for something cheaper.haha! Also noticed that most stores offer fashion clothes for women. Not so much on guys except forAstroboy and those Happy Tee's which I think are very famous in China. We just looked around. Window shopping ang labas. ^^
And so we ended back at the stalls outside the underground shopping street. My wife was craving for noodles so I ordered one but simply looking at the photos on the menu. Only God knows how they call this noodle dish. But it didn't disappoint. And for 12 RMB with this big serving, all the walking was worth it!
We also got to check this place nearby they ca;; 1930 Street. Another underground street which resembles that of Venetian Hotel's Venice-inspired walk with food and fashion shops on both sides. This is where we found Coco, the milk tea store which sells probably the "best milk tea in Shanghai" among store chains. will talk a little more about the COCO experience soon.
From here, we took the bus to our next destination --Yuyuan Market which is one of my favorite places in Shanghai. Another blog post on this destination next.We flew in Shanghai via
AirAsia Zest which flies daily to Pudong International Airport.
