The 500-peso Habal Habal Tour of Temple of Leah and Sirao Flower Farm #Cebu #Philippines

Cebu was actually not my main destination for this trip but Dumaguete. I was on vacation due to Chuseok 2016 holiday in Korea. I find flight tickets to the latter expensive so I flew to Cebu first to save on cost and at the same time check out two attractions I missed last time due to time constraint --Temple of Leah and Sirao Flower Farm.

The two are actually outside-city destinations but a comfortable distance to say the least. It's so easy to go to because they are on the same route. Facing Cebu from Mactan Bridge, you can see the mountains, that's where you go.


How To Get to Temple of Leah 
and  Sirao Flower Farm. 

1. Taxi from airport to 

2. Habal-habal (motorbike) from JY Square
to Flower Farm and Temple of Leah. 

3. Back to Mall

Easy!

Sirao Flower Farm - 45 minutes 

Temple of Leah - 30 minutes 

Learn To Haggle 

You will be offered 800 pesos for both attractions but haggle. I was able to lower the offer price to 500 pesos on both attractions. If you can negotiate for a lower price then you are good. For me 500 pesos is fair enough. Tulong narin sa locals.

OVER-HYPED
I was the first and only person in Sirao Flower Farm since I came on a Thursday and very early at that at around 8:00 am. I therefore had the whole place for me to appreciate and photograph. Helpers there were busy watering the plants and it was good that entrance fee is only 20 pesos because honestly I wouldn't pay more than that for this. I find the place over-hyped. In person it is very small and the flowers were not in full bloom at that time and therefore not very lovely in person or in photos. They call it the Little Amsterdam of Cebu because of the flowers but seriously that's just about it. Worth staying for a few minutes to take photos and that's just about it. You will be fine satisfying the curiosity for the hype. Worth only one visit.

We then found our way back to the same route we took towards the direction of Cebu City and drooped by Temple of Leah which I find more appealing.

This is gonna be one hell of an events venue when fully finished. Despite the ongoing construction, yes they've opened to the public for almost two years and they are still working on the finer details, the place is still strikingly beautiful. I appreciate it for its Greco-Roman architecture, intricate details and unbeatable location.

So this call it Temple of Leah but it is not really a temple in a religious sense but I bet this is gonna be one hell of an events venue when fully finished. Entrance is 50 pesos per pax with special rates for professional photo shoot. Again I was here early morning on a weekday so the place is almost literally for myself. Gave me enough space to take photos and time to appreciate the place. My habal-habal driver beautifully said "sa pamilya yan ni Ellen Adarna sir, yung nasa Passion de Amor sa 2". Well, good job for coming up with such a nice structure. The location cannot be more fitting.
