I am no celebrity and definitely a non-looker, I am just an ordinary travel blogger, but like any person, I have skin-care needs too. I am 38 years old and I am starting to feel that my skin is ageing fast. I think something should be done to arrest the process. Free Doctor Consultation
This is what I like about Centro Estetico, they don’t send you straight to treatment room without a doctor consultation. This is to determine your skin condition first so that they can suggest the best treatment for your needs. This is a plus factor. In my case, I told the doctor I wanted to revitalize my skin as it is getting dull so she suggested “hydrafacial” for me.

Hydrafacial
The hydrafacial treatment enhances skin complexion and reduces sign of ageing. Dead skin cells are exfoliated and impurities are extracted using a vacuum-based skin abrasion tip and the healthy underlying skin is bathed with active serums that cleanse deeply, hydrate completely and provide residual antioxidant protection. Exactly what I needed!

Prior to treatment I told the doctor that whilst the main thing I want to achieve is to reduce signs of skin ageing, I was also worried that I have some blackheads, whiteheads and small pimples that need to be dealt with. Still, hydrafacial is good in that case because it also involves pricking as well on top of the derma abrasion via machine. Speaking of which, this is what I like about this treatment, most of it is machine guided, including the dispersion of the serums used. You can feel first-hand how gentle it is and you know that the right amount of serum is applied.

Serums
Serums include; Activ-4 which contains glucosamine HCL which is good for rejuvenating the skin, Beta HD, which has salicylic acid which is a clarifying solution best for oily skin like mine as it helps control pimples. There is also Antiox+ which is an advanced antioxidant solution. Again, all these serums all machine dispersed so you are sure that the right amount is applied and absorbed by the skin.

PS: I was without a shirt in the photo above because hydrafacial involves a little massage on the back and shoulders other than the face. Thick towels are provided so as you don't get cold. I do hope though that they consider providing blankets instead as that would make it more comfortable than using a towel. I was so relaxed during the treatment though that I dozed-off a few minutes when they applied the mask.


Verdict:

I was really very happy with the hydrafacial I had. My skin visibly looked healthier, although as I said, I originally don’t have that flawless skin but I can feel how radiant it was after an hour of treatment. I can easily recommend this to my friends. As the brochure of Centro Estetico says , "be beautiful because you can", Yes! I felt that. :p
